Youth Programming

On Shabbat and Yom Tovim, there are four high-quality children's programs available that are geared for different age groups supervised by teenagers and our parent volunteers.

  • Babysitting - 10:00am until end of davening
  • Parent/Tot Shabbat (Age 4 and under) - 10:45am until 11:15am
  • Children aged 4-7 are offered a class including davening, storytelling, mitzvah discussion and snack
  • 2nd - 4th grade children can participate in a class with prayers, parsha discussion and games

Chesed / Social Action Projects

We have an active committee committed to gemilut chasadim. Past projects have included:

  • T-Shirt drive for Chayelim Bodedim (Israeli soldiers without family in Israel)
  • Food drive for The Ark
  • Children's book drive
  • Maot Chitim packing

Social Hall for Kiddushim and Your Simchas

  • One of the largest synagogue social halls in the area with the ability to seat up to 350 - Perfect for kiddushim, Shabbat meals, bar/bat mitzvahs and weddings

Men's Club Sisterhood
The SVAJ Men's Club is starting the New Year with great expectations. All their activities help to support our synagogue, so your membership is needed. For only $25 in annual dues or $100 a year to join the "Golden 100 Club", you are invited on the 4th Wednesday of each month for dinner and an evening of fellowship and friendship.
