High Holidays 5782/2021 Resources

Shalom friends,

It is with profound appreciation and gratitude that we are planning for an uplifting, joyous and safe High Holiday season together.   We continue to adapt to Covid and construction with creativity and flexibility by using our vast indoor and outdoor spaces. This year, we are excited to offer full indoor and outdoor services, along with childcare outdoors and on premises, to try to meet the needs of our diverse community.

Our indoor services will be held in the Social Hall and be led by our many wonderful and talented congregants. This space has a large capacity, upgraded ventilation system, open windows and flexible floor plan.  There will be no assigned seating for this service.

Our outdoor services will be held in our large Tent, and will also be led by congregants and by Hazzan Lawrence Szenes-Strauss.  This service will offer a Traditional seating option. There will be no assigned seating for these services. We will offer  Rosh Hashanah morning, Kol Nidrei, Yom Kippur morning and Neilah services outdoors.

Rabbi Ari Hart will speak at both services.  While seating will not be assigned for any location, you must register to ensure that we have adequate places for everyone. The synagogue has a limited supply of machzorim for your use, and we also encourage you to bring your own.

Our medical committee continues to advise us based on the most updated data on how to safely gather. As of this letter, we are masking indoors; we will continue to update the community as the situation develops. Our goal remains to continue to gather together safely.

Below are the links that will enable you to register for seats, renew Membership, request listings in the Memorial Book and donate to the Yom Kippur Appeal.  Please contact the office at 847-674-3473 for assistance in completing your membership renewal, service requests, or financial payment arrangements.

You must renew your membership to register for services.

Looking forward to a safe, happy, healthy and sweet new year.
